Halloween 2008

Our Halloween tradition is to have dinner with family, then for Jess and I to take Sam out trick-or-treating while Cathy, Denise (and usually Nancy) hand out candy at our house. This year, Gillian was along for the festivities! She slept upstairs while Cathy and Denise handed out the candy.

Sam wasn't nervous this year like he was last year, but he did reach a point when he'd decided he had plenty of candy, and wanted to go home. We tried to explain that he could get more candy, but he just kept telling us, "Nah. I have enough here." And so he did. We cut through the neighbors yard and knocked on our own front door to trick Nana.

Batman. Impatient to have the picture-taking over with, so he can get back to saving the day.

Our little flower fairy. This was day one of what's turning into a pretty nasty cold, but she was really good-natured about being shoved into her little costume in spite of that.

The two of them together, before Sam finished getting ready to trick-or-treat and Gillian was hauled off to bed.
